Hugo and I painted Matchmaker's hull with red anti-fouling today and replaced the sacrificial anodes ready for this season's sailing. A good day and an excellent fry up for lunch at the marina's greasy spoon but I could have done without the wind chill.

Coming across Rannoch heading for Glencoe there were deer everywhere grazing on anything edible even the roadside grass which must have been really horrible. They didn't care about the cars flying by, only if you stopped!
A bit of a puddle in the grass area near the fen road entrance. I liked the colours and contrast.

... and it's glorious. We walked from Bottisham across Quy Fen to Lode Mill and back this afternoon. The sun was shining and there was very little wind. I couldn't stop grinning. This photo was taken while sitting on a bench at the Fen.
Flat light, rain, mud, monochrome dog. It was tempting to make it into another BW but it didn't work, or I didn't find what I wanted. Another day.
I took a couple of snapshots of "Monty" the Flat Coated Retriever in the park this morning, lots of water and mud about. I particularly liked the way all the colours came out in this one.

Another of Jake! I was having a look at some tree damage by either rabbits or deer and used flash, which always interests Jake. He came into the undergrowth sniffing about and this shot just presented itself. Camera held low, flash on, hope for the best. I didn't get the chance for a second.
Went for a Big Walk over to Quy Fen, via Horningsea, Lode, and Bottisham Lock. It wasn't really the weather to take photo's when we set off, but this came out okay.
This is a crop of a much larger photo and it's not that sharp but I loved the smile so it had to go on here. Taken outside Lode Mill on a walk over there today.
